Terms

Terms of service

These terms describe the intended use and important limits of AstruLegacy.

Last updated: 13 August 2026. These terms should be reviewed for your final business structure and launch markets before public release.

1. What AstruLegacy provides

AstruLegacy is a software service for organizing information that may help you, your family, representatives or trusted people understand your affairs. It provides record-keeping, review, readiness, trusted-access, security and related organizational tools.

2. What AstruLegacy is not

AstruLegacy is not a will, executor, attorney, financial adviser, fiduciary, password manager, probate service or substitute for professional legal, tax, estate or financial advice. Recording an intention in AstruLegacy does not by itself create or amend a legally binding estate document.

3. Your responsibility for information

You are responsible for the accuracy, legality and appropriateness of information you enter, for keeping it reasonably current, and for deciding what should be stored. Do not use AstruLegacy to store information you are not entitled to hold or share.

4. Account security

You are responsible for protecting your sign-in credentials, recovery codes and devices. Two-factor authentication is strongly recommended. You should promptly change your password if you suspect unauthorized access.

5. Trusted-person access

Nominating a trusted person does not automatically make that person an executor, beneficiary, attorney or legal representative. Trusted access is a software permission within AstruLegacy and does not override applicable law or formal estate documents.

6. Subscriptions and payment

Paid access may be offered monthly or annually. The hosted checkout shows the final amount, currency, tax and renewal terms before payment. Cancellation and payment-method management may be handled through the external payment provider's customer portal. Deleting AstruLegacy data does not automatically cancel an external subscription.

7. Backups and availability

AstruLegacy includes backup and recovery facilities, but no online service can guarantee uninterrupted availability or that data can never be lost. Keep legally operative originals and other irreplaceable information in appropriate independent locations.

8. Acceptable use

You may not misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with its operation, upload unlawful material, impersonate another person, or use AstruLegacy to facilitate fraud or harm.

9. Account closure

You may delete your active AstruLegacy account through Account Security. Encrypted disaster-recovery backups may continue to contain an older copy until the configured retention period expires. Any external paid subscription should be cancelled separately where required.

10. Changes to the service or terms

AstruLegacy may evolve over time. Material changes to these terms should be reflected by updating the published terms and effective date, and users should be informed where appropriate.

11. Contact

Configure Support:ContactEmail before launch so customers have a published contact.

Before launch: have these terms reviewed against the legal entity that will operate AstruLegacy, the payment-provider contract and the countries in which you intend to sell the service.
